For the purpose of sharing information about conducting a child find
effort, child find has been broken down into seven child find elements
which are individually defined below:

team to address public awareness and child find issues. Section 2 of
the manual pertains to choosing a target area for implementing child
find activities by looking at population data and risk factors for a

A Parent's Guide: Newborn
Hearing Screening
This 18 minute video is an educational resource designed to inform parents
about the identification of hearing loss in newborns. Available in English
and Spanish with closed captions and with American Sign Language Interpretation.
Universal Newborn Hearing
Screening in Connecticut
This 17-page booklet discusses the importance of early identification
of hearing loss in children. Available in English and Spanish.
